You can create an automation rule to greet visitors.
Follow the steps for creating an automation rule to greet visitors:
Login using your admin account.
Go to Settings > General Settings > Automation Rules
Click on Add new automation rule.
Apply the automation rule on Widget.
Under the When section, select When widget is mounted by anyone condition. You may also add more conditions as per your requirements.
Under the Actions section, select display a system message in the chat or display a message on behalf of member in the chat. If you choose to display a system message in the chat, it will post a message as if it were from the system whereas if you choose to display a message on behalf of member in the chat, it will post a message as if it were from a specific member. The default message is Hello. How can I help you?. You can change it by clicking on message.
You can configure the rule to show the message either indefinitely or until the user closes it. If you select indefinitely, the greeting will be shown every time the visitor visits the page. If you select until the user closes it, the greeting will be shown only until the visitor closes the greeting by clicking on the x above it.
Click Save changes.
