A notification email/SMS will be sent to the visitor for all the unread messages after the wait time. This setting can be turned on/off by clicking on the switch next to Enable visitor notification for unread messages.
Enabling this setting will provide more options to configure the notification like Notifications Wait Time, Notifications method, and Notifications URL expiry.
Notifications Wait Time
After the specified wait time, all the unread messages of the conversations will be forwarded to the visitor. In case no email or phone number is present, then no notification will be sent. The wait time can be modified by clicking on the dropdown below and choosing an appropriate time.
Notifications Method
The mode of notification can be modified by choosing the appropriate option available by clicking on the dropdown below Notifications Method. If the selected method is Email, then the visitor will receive notification only if the email address is available.
Similarly, if the selected method is SMS then the visitor will receive SMS notification only if the visitor's phone number is available. If Both (Email and SMS) is the selected choice then the visitor will receive notifications via Email and SMS depending on the availability of email and phone number.
Notifications URL Expiry
This option enables the admin to modify the expiration time of the URL that will be received in the notification (depending on the Notification Method chosen). The expiry time can be modified by choosing an appropriate option available by clicking on the dropdown below Notification URL Expiry.
